ABA Offers Perspective on Government's Economic Stabilization Measures

ABA President & CEO Ed Yingling recently explained in
testimony before Congress and in media interviews why community bankers are upset about the current financial crisis. "There are thousands of banks across the country today that never made one toxic subprime loan.... [The economic stabilization bill] is a solution that these banks did not seek for a problem they did not cause, and yet all of it is often labeled the "bank bailout."
