The Producer Price Index for finished goods fell 2.8 percent in October, which was the third consecutive monthly decline. The drop was driven by a large 12.8 percent decline in energy goods. Core prices, which exclude food and energy prices, rose 0.4 percent for the second consecutive month.  More Perspectives
