The Get Smart About Credit program connects bankers with students and young adults to help them to develop a stronger understanding of credit and how to use it responsibly.

 

3 Steps to Plan Your GSAC Event
1. Register for GSAC 2010. Registered banks are featured as participants on lists shared with the media and policymakers.
2. Review program materials. New credit education resources for adults, discounted resource kits, and free stuff.
3. Schedule your event. Contact a local school or youth group to schedule a lesson.

GSAC and PYIW
This year the program will include elements of the National Foundation for Credit Counseling's Protect Your Identity Week.

Including PYIW Activities in Your GSAC 2010 Event
1. Register for GSAC 2010. Registered banks receive product discounts, free online training, getting started tips, credit education Q&A brochure, participation certificates and more.
2.

Find a consumer credit specialist. Use the NFCC's online locator map to find a credit counselor to host an event with.

3.

Secure free shredding services. Shredding trucks are available for PYIW events on a first-come, first-served basis. 

4.

Register your event with the PYIW Coalition to have it listed online with other events.
